The gripper - The oversized paddle from Dick Hannula.

The tread side of Gripper assists the swimmer in "holding" enough water to recognize and feel the body being pushed past the arm. This is essential in developing maximum distance per stroke. The size and shape of the Gripper also makes that paddle very effective in learning the timing and peaking of the hip rotation in both crawl and backstroke swimming. The use of the Gripper also enhances adaptation to the "feel" of the water on the hands.
